Hello! This is Liz from paislee press. I'm a lover of white space and all things minimalist. I also love photography and have been a long time fan of Kristi's work. I'm thrilled and honored to be a guest on her blog today.
In general, clean and uncluttered spaces make me happy. But a blank wall has the exact opposite effect. It makes me feel unsettled, maybe even a little nervous, because it looks like an unfinished space screaming "do something about me."
So today I want to share with you a few examples of photo walls because nothing inspires me to get my photos printed (and framed) more than an artfully arranged/carefully curated wall.
image sources: (1) wall of photo clippings (originally published in domino magazine): (2) art photographed by Andreas Krufczik (3) black and white photo arrangement found via Dawn Sela's photo wall pinterest board, original source: http://design-crisis.com/ (4) wall of frames by jackie rueda, via ohdeedoh (5) close up of Jackie rueda's framed photos (6) photo wall above mantel, rita konig, originally published in domino mag (7) frame polaroids, via sf girl by bay, original source: http://dreamyhouse.tumblr.com/
Rita Konig's photo wall (image no. 6 above) was the inspiration behind my mosaic wall art project.
Instructions for this project, along with a free template download is available on my blog.
If you aren't already displaying your photos, I hope the examples I shared inspire you to get your work up on your walls!
